ÖKOCELL^® additive for roads

ÖKOCELL^® is used to manufacture mastic asphalt comprised of standard granule size mineral mix, bitumen used to construct roads and stabiliser additive. The crushed stone creates a skeleton with pores filled with asphalt mix. The high binding agent content makes it necessary to use stabiliser additives to avoid the fragmentation of its components during manufacturing, as well as transportation and use.

ÖKOCELL^® absorbs the high bitumen content even at a 0.3 percentage concentration and ensures the homogeneity of the mix.
Crushed stone mastic asphalt manufactured by using ÖKOCELL^® is extremely resistant to environmental impacts and loading stress.

Impacts on the ÖKOCELL^® asphalt mix:

• by binding the bitumen, it prevents its deposition at the bottom of the asphalt layer, which in turn increases viscosity and decreases temperature sensitivity;
• it becomes more resistant to moisture, fatigue and fracturing by binding a higher volume of asphalt;
• prevents spilling from the crushed bitumen skeleton;
• ensures mix homogeneity;
• forms a 3D fibre shell in the mix;

ÖKOCELL^®-G can be used in every asphalt mixing plant operating in shifts or continuously. Dosages may be fed in mechanically or by means of air engineering, as well as by manually feeding in standard units in the case of batch mixers.

Problems relating to modified bitumen orders, transportation and storage arising when a smaller volume of asphalt is ordered can be avoided by using this product.
